So if you ask me, that’s where the social media trend is heading towards (social media platforms that assist users in content creation).

Marketing strategists need to look at up-and-coming social media platforms that give it’s users the ability to create and be the first to utilize them. This would give them a huge first-mover advantage. They can establish the brands they represent to the audience and build huge communities for free. Most marketers wait until a social media platform has taken off and then use too much money on ads on these platforms. I would even argue that this could work for B2B companies and freelancers where businesses and creative content experts network. Behance is already doing this quite well for designers.

Tik Tok has already exploded with 500 million monthly active users according to mediakix.com. However, it will dominate for quite some time given the age of the users with 66% of its users under the age of 30. I would also keep an eye on Facebook for Creators which is a community that helps its users produce video content for Facebook. And yes, Facebook has adjusted its algorithm in favor of videos.
